Chris has been taking photographs for very many years but this, at the time of writing (Feb 2012), is the oldest we have currently included in a collection on this site.
It was made in December 2003 on a quiet path just above the banks of Ulswater, the most north-easterly of the larger English Lake District lakes. The dramatic light at the far end of the lake is spilling over the ridge of St Sunday Crag - a notable point now in that the next image in this collection is from the St Sunday Crag ridge, looking back towards the viewpoint of this image.
