In making this image Chris wanted to juxtapose Dali's sculpture with the hugely towering London Eye that it sits next to. Both are by the river's edge, in front of the old County Hall building. They are an odd mix -but then again much of surealist art operates in that way.
"The Eye" - the largest ferris wheel in the world - was constructed horizontally, across the water's surface and then (at the second attempt) hoisted errect in 2000. It provides extensive views across London.
