Chris writes: "Actually - to be pedantic - it was the day of the St Patricks Day parade rather than St Patrick's Day itself and, frankly, when I set out for Piccadilly Circus, with the intention of making a panorama, I was unaware of the fact. But it was to prove a happy coincdence: On any occasion this, the very center of tourist London, is a multi-cultural melting pot but the mix of green-clad, would be Irish revellers(the parade was yet to arrive) and the blissfully unaware (?), camera-wielding, holiday makers added to the colour of the occasion (both literally and metaphorically)".
